i concur precisely with medievalmuse, except i'll take the second floor octagon room. maybe the memory of the 'tower room' i occupied in the 1887 dorm (yup) house i had my last semester of college... but then again, it was hard to put furniture any place.... :^)
I asked because I am trying to find visual examples of popular Victorian interior room colors. I am in desperate need of changing my bedroom in my 1890 row house.

Weird... I live in a row house too! On Cleinview off Madison Road, above Taft. The front has been changed a lot (given a flat brick facade) but you can tell from the roof (with colored decorative slates and dormer windows) that the building was built during the 1870s or so.
Unfortunately we're not allowed to do anything to our boring white-painted apartment walls here. :-( I love your idea of painting with popular Victorian colors.
There's an adorable row house on Collins, and one on Salutaris (in E. Walnut Hills)... it would be funny if you lived in one of those. In a "small world" way, that is.
(Sorry, I can't get the link to work for the Collins row house.)
I live on the 2nd and 3rd floors of one on Klotter in Clifton.
It was renovated to be two apartments and was given fresh beige siding. The outside has a bit of old charm but the inside is definately old.
Most of the inside is painted in traditiional colors. Living room is a dusty pink and a lot of yellow. It is the blue bedroom I cannot deal with. In my last apartment I had a bright green room! No white walls here at least.
I looked online at Salutaris before moving here, but it seemed a bit small for the price.

Do you have any pics of the inside of the house? What interior colors?
